Day Star School provides you with an opportunity to be part of this caring school community. Over the years we were able to provide education and job opportunities to many children who otherwise would not have had them. You can meaningfully contribute to the lives of growing children and the community in this Himalayan region. There are opportunities to work with us as a volunteer teacher.You could also come and join as a regular, paid teacher and become part of the team. You can also pass on our needs to others who are interested. Day Star School would be impossible to run sustainably if fees were not charged and sponsors did not help out. Eighty five percent of the income from fees goes towards paying teachers. To the extent possible, we want to pay our teachers well for the important work they do. The school’s other operational expenses, including concessions for underprivileged and deserving students, are taken care of by contributions made by faithful friends and well wishers.
Currently, 20 percent of the students benefit from fee concessions. Due to existing need, this figure is planned to be raised to 25 percent.You could provide dependable, financial resources to sustain the work of the school in providing a good education for needy children. Friends and supporters of the students are welcome to come and visit and trek around Manali. Your gracious giving may be directed to the Day Star Student Education Fund or Day Star Higher Education Fund.
